The story of Svárov

Our glamping site is located at the very end of the Svárov cottage colony, almost in a secluded location, surrounded by a magical landscape with pine and mixed forest. Nearby is the historic Svárov Pond whose existence is confirmed by records dating back to 1525. Originally Svárov was known for its granite quarry, which was used for stone quarrying in the 19th century and from which a hunting lodge was built. It served as a refuge in the countryside within the Komorní Hrádek estate, later incorporated into the Konopiště estate. It is said that the hunting lodge was used directly by Franz Ferdinand d’Este, who lived in the nearby Konopiště Castle and the local landscape was always important to him.

It was the intention

Libor and his partner Chris joined forces and have already created one magical place in Wallachia. However, as several guests have contacted us saying they would like to come again, but due to full capacity this is not possible, we have started looking around for a second place. We chose Posázaví with the village of Svárov for several reasons. We believe that this place combines history with the tranquility of nature and provides a magical retreat for lovers of peace, tranquility and a touch of the past. The presence of the Posázava Pacific railway line adds a unique atmosphere to the place and provides a great connection with the surroundings.

Many Talented People

We are very fortunate to have many very talented and exceptional people in our area. Thanks to them, we are able to open up these magical places. Everyone who can do something gets involved. Our court carpenter, Thomas Skot, is one of these talents. His work makes its way into all of glamping, where everything is made using a technique that doesn’t require bolting furniture together. The pieces simply slot into each other. The maringotka was made by Libor and his company Nova dům and its unique interior was designed by architects Lukáš Foltýn and Dominik Rejthar. The exterior will be beautified in the following year after the launch under the supervision of the garden architect Helena Stašová. With this Tiny House, we put emphasis on undisturbed comfort. We want people who come to relax to not have to worry about anything. We believe that we have succeeded in this.
